LATEST NEWS FROM CLASS 6
Thank you to everyone who attended our open evening and SATS meeting this week. It was great to see such fantastic parental support. Click here for the PowerPoint I showed during the SATS meeting.
What a reflective and thoughtful day Class 6 had at the Holocaust Centre on Tuesday 22nd January. It was an amazing day learning all about how Jews were treated just because of their religion. We also had the opportunity to listen to a survivor from the Holocaust called Simon Winston who told their story of how they escaped the Nazis.
Class 6 had a superb day at Southwell Minster on Thursday 9th November to celebrate Remembrance and the centenary of WWI. They took part in a drama, art and singing sessions. As always the children were outstanding with many staff and visitors commenting on their superb behaviour. One member of staff said that we were 'the perfect school'. Well done Class 6!
Class 6 enjoyed an educational visit to the National Coal Mining Museum on Tuesday 25th September. It was a fabulous day and everyone learnt all about life as a miner. They travelled 140 m underground in a cage and had to wear a helmet and battery pack. The class had the opportunity to see the pit ponies, look around the museum and take part in a workshop called Dig Deeper. Their favourite part was going down the mine.
