Autumn Term 2nd half.
What are we learning about this half term?
Literacy - We will be reading the poem The lady of the lamp (Florence Nightingale) and the story Three little wolves and the big bad pig. We will be working on using adjectives to add description to our sentences, using question marks and exclamation marks and seeing if we can change the tense of our writing.
Maths - We will be working on our number bonds to 100, doubling and halving, tally charts, pictograms, finding a quarter, money time and place value.
Science - We will be learning about different habitats, our focus for this half term will be underwater and polar habitats.
Computing - We will be developing our word processing skills and learn how to take and insert photos into our work. We will also be discussion internet safety issues and how the internet can be unreliable.
R.E - Incarnation, why does Christmas matter to Christians.
P.E - We will be doing a wide range of fun activities that will encourage team work and encouraging others.
History - We will be finding out about the lives of Florence Nightingale, Mary Seacole and Edith Cavell.
Art - We will be creating pieces of Art/Sculpture inspired by the work of Nick Mackman.
French - We will learning how to have basic conversations in French.
SCARF - We will be looking at different ways to keep safe and why it is important to respect things that are private.
