What are we learning about this half term?
This term our theme for our work is mini beasts and living things.
Literacy - We will be using the texts below to inspire our writing activities. We will be focusing on using punctuation correctly, forming our letters correctly and using noun phrases effectively.
Superworm, what the ladybird heard, insect detective, mini beasts and where to find them.
Numeracy – Place value, counting in steps of 10, addition and subtraction to 20, 2D shapes.
Science – Mini beasts.
Computing –Word processing.
R.E – Exploring creation.
Art - Sketching and shading.
DT – Animal sculptures.
History - Great Fire of London.
Geography - Our local area, sustainability.
PSHE - Healthy lifestyles.
French - Animal names.
P.E - Setting challenges and trying again.
Homework and Spellings
Homework and spellings are both set on a Friday.
Please hand the homework in by the Wednesday.
Spelling tests are also on a Friday.
Please listen to your child read as often as you can and remember to record this in their reading record to communicate with us about how they are getting on at home.
Please make sure your child has their P.E. Kit in school everyday.
Our set day is Tuesday.
Please take out/provide tape for earrings.
Tie shoulder length or longer hair back.
