We check and water our bean plants every day to help them grow.

Growing Beans in Foundation Stage
Growing Beans in Foundation Stage

Look how tall our bean plants have grown. We have counted 3 beans on the plants .When we get a few more we will pick them and cook them so we can taste them.

Foundation Stage have been growing their own beans, the children understand that the plants need plenty of sunshine and water to help them grow.

Foundation Stage have enjoyed their balance Bike experiences in school.

A big thank you to the two ladies from Nottinghamshire County Council who supervised the two sessions.

Have a safe half term break and enjoy the sunshine.

On Wednesday with the rest of the school we took part in a pilgrimage around school. The focus was The Lords Prayer and the Foundation Stage children really enjoyed going into the other classes and looking at the different focuses of the prayer.

They generated some imaginative ideas and thoughts. Well done.

Our visit to The Deep

We had a fantastic visit to The Deep all the children were amazing and were complemented on their super behaviour .As always I was very proud of them all. We were lucky enough to see the divers feeding the fish at close hand and the children were fascinated when some of the fish fed from the divers hand. Thank you for completing the evaluation forms about this visit and the verbal feed back you have given me. I know some of you are going back to The Deep as a family, your children will enjoy showing you around.

Click here to see our medium term plan for the summer.

Welcome back. We hope you have had a great Easter Holiday

All the children are looking forward to going to The Deep on Tuesday 25th April. Packed lunches will be provided by school so all the children  need is a drink(no glass bottles please)

Fireman Visit

We had a visit from the Fireman today. We listened very carefully as they told us about keeping safe from fire. We answered many questions and even asked some too. The Firemen were impressed with our speaking and listening skills. During the session we also had a go at squirting water from the hose and were able to sit in the Fire engine.

We all enjoyed it!

Children have enjoyed exploring some Traditional Tales and have worked very hard in all areas of their learning. Thank you to all for supporting them with homework and reading.

Enjoy the half term break and we look forward to seeing you all back in school on Monday 20th February

Our children had a wonderful day in Clumber Park and the weather was fantastic! They all enjoyed walking through the autumn leaves and making shelters with twigs. We saw squirrels and different kinds of wildlife in the park. The children's behaviour was superb and as usual we had very positive comments from Clumber staff and even from some visitors to the park about how the children conducted themselves. Well done foundation stage!

We are all enjoying the stories by Julia Donaldson and love the Stick Man story. Some of the children have even made a Stick Man of their own.
